Figure drawing is something most artists constantly practice, including life-drawing and painting of the nude. From that comes the understanding of the human body and the challenge of portrait painting. That is one of Joose's favorite projects although it comes with its own set of challenges. Children are actually more difficult to paint than adults because their features are still small and soft. As adults we have bolder features: larger noses, deeper eyes, and more evident bone structure. But no matter who she paints, finding the joy within is her main goal.
